How to check the spare tire under your RV or tow vehicle
Check the air in the spare under your RV or tow vehicle
How do you stay on top of the spare tire in your RV or tow vehicle when it’s mounted way underneath? Is there an easy solution to monitor the pressure in your RV’s spare tire? We recently came across the AirGear EasyAIR spare tire inflation system and it’s a brilliantly simple solution to a common problem.
What is the EasyAIR spare tire inflation system
Essentially the EasyAIR spare tire inflation system is a braided stainless steel hose that you attach to the Schrader valve (the air valve) on the spare tire under your RV or tow vehicle and then mount the other end where you can easily reach it.
The remote side of this gadget also features a Schrader valve on it so you can now check the air in your spare tire from the location where you mounted that end. And you can choose where to locate this end.
For example, you could route this into a baggage compartment or onto the outside of your RV. Friends of ours mounted theirs to a convenient spot on the frame of their fifth wheel.
You could also put a tire pressure monitoring system on the end of the hose and use your TPMS to remotely monitor the air in your spare.
