One of the most incredible ways to visit the Grand Canyon is to drive into it and there’s a road off Route 66 where you can do that. This hidden gem takes you down over 3,000 feet in elevation along 22 miles to an incredible view few visitors see of one of nature’s most popular destinations.
As Route 66 takes us through Needles, CA we explore the famous El Garces Hotel, find a car show and have a meal at the world-famous Wagon Wheel. Needles was definitely a couple of swings and a miss so we share what we found and loved - and didn’t - at this stop on Route 66.
