Checking out The Jon from Forest River
Today’s RV review is of the Forest River Jon. While we’re not sure of the availability of this unique model, we thought you might be flushed with excitement while learning more. This is the first four-room trailer with each room having its own entry doors and unique configuration.
Each of the rooms is actually named with the names being The Bowers Bowl, Trevor’s Taj ZMa-Stall for rooms that men should utilize and then The Atz End and Duzan the Drain for the rooms intended for ladies. There are solid steps at each of the doors as well as a D-style assist handle.
A huge awning essentially spans the entire width of the trailer so you can be shaded while on your way to or from contemplating the decision to go back for a second helping of that jalapeño dip.
This twin-axle unit features a leaf spring and manual stabilizers. There is a small horizontal window high up in each room but not really at eye level because, well, that’s a good thing. You really don’t want to see eye-to-eye with anyone utilizing the Jon.
While some trailer’s are intended to go where no man has gone before, this trailer is intended to go where everybody’s gotta go.
Each of the doors has vertical lights on either side so you don’t have to go in the dark.
The rooms all feature a sink, paper towel dispenser, a bit of cabinetry to hold supplies and, the most important aspect of a trailer like this, a porcelain foot-flush toilet.
So while some fancy RVs have two bathrooms, this one is nothing but bathrooms. Four of them.
Our only complaint about this trailer is that they only use the small fume fighting fans which do little to exhaust what odors there may be from such frequent use but we couldn’t detect any smells so maybe we’re worried about something that’s nothing.
While this trailer wouldn’t really be described as particularly luxurious it’s also clear that the designers weren’t sitting down on the job. That’s for the customers to do.
