Holiday gifts for RVers

Holiday gifts for RVers

Our holiday gifting guide for RVers is a popular annual podcast episode where we share things you might want for your next StressLess Camping adventure. This guide is in no particular order and has everything from stocking stuffers to wow gifts for the RVer in your life - even if that’s you!

Grubstick

The ultimate tool for campfire meals that Grubstick is one of our perennial favorites to make meals over the campfire and we’ve got a discount.

Portable waste tank

We recently did a review of the Thetford Titan four-wheel portable waste tank. These can definitely extend your boondocking adventure and is a game changer for us.

Power Watchdog

If you have a modern RV we feel that you absolutely should have a surge suppressor or RV power management system. These can range from under $150-300 depending on the model chosen.

Nighttime Dream Come True

We have been fans of the RV SuperBag since we first saw it. It’s a great tool to greatly simplify making your RV’s bed. It’s not cheap, but we love the quality.

Books for RVers

There are a number of great books for RVers and you can get them in digital form or traditional. We have a collection of RV books for your reference.

Magazines for RVers

A magazine subscription is the gift that keeps on giving and there are a number of magazines for RVers that we really like.

Tongue Jack Cover

One of the easiest ways to protect the power tongue jack on your travel trailer is with an RV tongue jack cover. These can also help with managing cables and chains as well.

Walkie Talkies

We use walkie talkies for a lot of things including parking the RV but also keeping in touch with others while in the campground, on hikes and more. You can find walkie talkies and other RV gadgets here.

Games

There are so many great games for we RVers and we have a story about things like horseshoes, corn hole, ladder, dominoes, cribbage, Uno, YamScram, Yahtzee, Tenzi and more.

Cell Booster

We really like the folks from TechnoRV who sell all sorts of RV-related gadgets that they’ve verified. They also have great tech support so they’re a good choice to turn to when you’re looking for an RV cell booster.

Pots and Pans

Our Magma pans have really served us well for many years and we’re still a big fan of these nesting pots for RVers.

RV water filter

We’ve tried a number of water filters but our favorite is the Clear20 water filter.

Wine Tumblers

We really like Camco’s “Life is Better at the Campfire” tumblers. They’re affordable and travel well plus they’re color coded so you know whose wine is whose.

Flat-top griddle

Now that we have one we understand the appeal of these flat-top griddles and they often have great sales around the holiday season.

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems

Having a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) can be an important safety tool. Once again, TechnoRV is the place we would turn to in this space as well.

Power Tools

We love Ryobi’s One+ power tools simply because there are so many devices in the collection including some great lanterns.

RV Soft Start

We have an RV Soft Start which allows us to run our AC unit on a single 1600 watt generator. We even have a discount for the RV Soft Start.

12 volt cooler

We think these 12 volt ice chests are nifty - there are a ton of choices.

Solar Generator

Solar generators, which are essentially big batteries and a way to use them, are another thing we really like, especially for boondocking. Our favorite models are the ones made by our partner, Lion Energy, but we’ve also written a review of the Jackery 1500.

Keyless Entry

We installed a keyless entry system in our own travel trailer as well as keyless baggage door locks which replace the models that use the 751 key as do so many RV baggage doors.

Wagon

Peggy is really interested in getting one of these Lippert collapsible wagons. I wonder if Santa’s going to come through?

Memberships

There are some great RV-focused groups and memberships. Among our favorites are:

Insect control

There are a number of tools we like for controlling insects and rodents.

  • Mosquitoes are a big problem for Tony and the Thermacell is the only thing that’s worked for him to keep them away.

  • Tony also has an odd fascination with the Bug-A-Salt fly gun

Simple jack tools

We have the simple and inexpensive RV Sizzer Nut Locks which keep our stabilizer jacks from inching their way down over time.

Microfiber cleaning cloths

We’ve been using the Almost Heaven microfiber cloths since we bought them at an FMCA gathering and have been really pleased with them.

RV Weight and Safety

We think the Curt BetterWeigh RV weight tool is a nifty way to keep an eye on the weight of your towed trailer.

StressLess Camping Logo Wear

We’ve had a few of you ask us about StressLess Camping logo wear and merchandise so we evaluated a lot of different providers and found one we like. Here is our StressLess Camping officially licensed merchandise store.
