Tony

This week on the Stressless Camping RV Podcast, we got something really sweet to talk about.

Peggy

Mm, chocolate.

Tony

Hershey, no RV show.(laughs) From Hershey.

Peggy

Oh, okay.(laughs)

Tony

So, we have our friend Bill with us once again who, uh, he has been to the Hershey Show and he's got some great tips and ideas for what you should do if you're coming to America's largest RV show. So, hopefully you will like and share and join us at our home on the web at stresslesscamping.com.

Peggy

Stressless camping.

Tony

Stressless camping. Well, hello everybody. This is our very first night in the great state-

Peggy

Of Pennsylvania.

Tony

... Pennsylvania. And we were very fortunate that our good friend Bill, who you've heard and seen on the podcast-

Tony

... before, uh, was so close. He's like, "Hey, I'm gonna come and, and join you." But we will have to bribe him with beer.

Tony

And we're okay with that 'cause I have to bribe-

Tony

... my own self with beer.

Tony

But what we thought we'd share with you today is something that we have come all the way to Pennsylvania for, and that's the Hershey RV Show, also known as America's largest RV show. At least that's what they call themselves.

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

And we haven't been-

Bill Ellsbeck

Yes.

Tony

... but Bill has.

Bill Ellsbeck

I was there last year. I, I spent the better part of two days there, split, spread over three days. Um-

Peggy

Yeah, okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

Uh, and it was r- it was eye-opening at the amount of RVs that were there.

Tony

It, it was-

Bill Ellsbeck

It may not be physically the largest or whatever, but oh man, I never saw more trailers, motor homes, this, that, everywhere.

Tony

Someone said it's like four football fields of RVs.

Bill Ellsbeck

I, I could, I could see that, absolutely.

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Tony

So you, you wandered around as it were, or looked around the show. Any, l- like, i- is it organized by manufacturer or by style or?

Bill Ellsbeck

So it's by manufacturer, but it's also by dealer. You have to be a dealer within the state of Pennsylvania to be able to display and sell RVs at the show.

Tony

Oh, so it's also a selling show.

Bill Ellsbeck

Right. So like, um, I remember General RV had like a whole big section, and within General RV there was Intech and there was whatever other brands they sell.

Peggy

Oh, okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

And I know Forest River was off on the other side. I don't know, they might have been with Camping World. I know Camping World was there.

Tony

Okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

Um, but again, mostly it's by manufacturer.

Tony

Okay.

Peggy

So there are some RV shows out there that you pretty much go if you wanna buy an RV, not if you already have an RV and want all those wacky accessories, right? And then there are shows like Quartzsite, which we go to all the time, which is you, you can shop for an RV there, but that's really not the focus of that show. That show is all the things to go along with RVing.

Tony

Yeah.

Peggy

And-

Tony

It is a stuff show.

Peggy

... Hershey seems to me like a good combination of both. You've got all-

Bill Ellsbeck

Absolutely.

Peggy

... sorts of RVs if you wanna shop for an RV, and then you've got a big area of vendors if you wanna shop for the junk.(laughs)

Bill Ellsbeck

Right. The acres of RVs and then vendors outside, and then the whole arena-

Tony

Oh, so it's not just-

Bill Ellsbeck

... inside.

Tony

... inside that giant center or whatever.

Bill Ellsbeck

Right. So e- Giant Center, it's the supermarket, not the size-

Bill Ellsbeck

... of a center. Um, it's a small hockey arena. Um-

Tony

Are there any-

Bill Ellsbeck

... the, the hockey floor is totally covered and kind of the ring around it.

Tony

Oh, interesting.

Bill Ellsbeck

And it's nice because they keep it climate controlled. When I was there last year it was very hot, so it was air conditioned and it was, I don't know, few thousand seats to sit in.

Tony

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

And there were vendors.

Peggy

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

You could buy food and things like that. So you could go in there and sit and just escape the heat, or if you were just plain tuckered out just wanted to get away.

Peggy

Because you can't put vendors up in those seats.

Bill Ellsbeck

Exactly.

Peggy

... 'cause of angles.

Bill Ellsbeck

And you know what, when you're sitting up in a seat you can watch all the vendors. Ooh, who's the most popular?

Tony

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

Everybody's going over there.

Peggy

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

I wanna check them out.

Peggy

Yeah, that's a good, good place to be.

Tony

Hey, pass me a-

Tony

... a bottle of Matt's toilet treatment.

Peggy

You know, "Hey, that booth is finally empty. Let's run down there."

Bill Ellsbeck

Yeah.

Peggy

And by the time you get there, they got a big line again.(laughs)

Bill Ellsbeck

I, Matt's was one of the ones, he had a big outside booth there last year.

Tony

Okay.

Peggy

Yes.

Tony

Yeah, so I know-

Peggy

That's Liquified. That's not called Matt's, it's Liquified.

Bill Ellsbeck

Yeah, right.

Tony

I just, my brain was not-

Peggy

Yeah, yeah.

Tony

... functional, which is not unusual. So if you were to plan to go to this show, and obviously we're going to this show, but any thoughts about before you go what you should know?

Bill Ellsbeck

I, I would go with a plan. Um, you could probably spend two days just looking at fifth wheels.

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Bill Ellsbeck

Just walking around and checking every fifth wheel. You know, you... And they're, they're stacked in there. Um, so go with a plan. Know what you wanna look at, take lots of pictures of what you wanna see. You know, if you really wanna buy, they had tents set up outside with people doing financing, it was all computers-

Peggy

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

... and they have a sale.

Peggy

Okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

They must have been selling tons. And I bought my Rockwood in the end of 2019. It was still within the month of September, so I got the show prices-

Peggy

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

... because my dealer was at the show.

Peggy

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

So I got a good discount. And what I've heard is that there are true discounts there at the show to be had.

Tony

What-

Bill Ellsbeck

Um, so-

Tony

... what a manufacturer or two have told us is that for these big shows, they will actually incent the dealers. There's a discount, or kickback, or whatever the heck it is.

Peggy

Right.

Tony

But they will actually give money to these dealers, so yeah, there's more expense in, in, you know, you gotta take the RVs and take 'em to the show and set it up and pay for the show and blah, blah, blah. But, the manufacturers know that this is such a selling show, uh, that they kinda give the m- the dealers an incentive to help make the prices here good. And I don't-

Peggy

I remember that-

Tony

... know, yeah.

Peggy

... years ago when we went to a show and that's what you said, "Are there really deals or did you spend so much money coming here that you need to recoup your money and you're gonna call it a deal but it's the same as the-"(laughs)

Tony

Right.

Peggy

Same as the price next week. But this, in this case, there are apparently some, some deals-

Tony

Yeah.

Peggy

... to be had, so if you are shopping for an RV, this is a good place to, to do it.

Tony

Yeah. And then, um, also stuff. I mean, the, the vendors, that's what... So one of the things that impresses me as someone who has only basically been to the West Coast RV events, and they're not very big, the ones I've... other than Quartzsite, but Quartzsite isn't a, a show to go buy-

Peggy

I see what you're saying.

Tony

... RVs predominantly. Um, is the number of manufacturers of stuff who have reached out to us and they're like, "Hey, we're gonna be in booth blah, blah, blah."

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Tony

"We want you to talk ab- you know, come and, and meet us here."

Peggy

Come see, come talk to our booth, yeah.

Tony

"And here's the person to see," and blah, blah. So they have really, uh, addressed content creators or influencers or whatever you wanna call us, uh, and they really have made it a big deal that, "Hey, we're gonna be at this show so please come and meet with us." And I suspect this is gonna be different than anything we've been at before-

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Tony

... from even that perspective. And you know we love the stuff, so-

Peggy

Oh, yeah.

Tony

... we are gonna, we're gonna really focus. That's our goal. So our next month, for lack of a better description, is go to Hershey and see Hershey, the RV show, but then after that we're going to, back to Indiana and at Indiana this is when they reveal all the new RVs to the dealers and we have invitations to that. So what our goal is, is to more focus on the stuff at this show, because we're gonna have a...

Tony

Bill was saying it's crowded as all get out at this show. And, uh-

Bill Ellsbeck

It progress- progressively gets more crowded as it goes along, so Wednesday will be the least, Thursday is Senior Day so you get the gray hairs all showing up.

Tony

Oh, I see.

Bill Ellsbeck

And then, you know, th- you know-

Peggy

Yes.

Bill Ellsbeck

... then you get to the weekend and-

Peggy

And of course everyone's-

Bill Ellsbeck

... everybody starts showing up.

Peggy

... gonna be there on the weekend.

Tony

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

And then the people who were thinking they could get better deals are there Sunday, like, waiting at the last minute, "Oh, you know."

Peggy

Like, uh, they gonna clearance everything now-

Bill Ellsbeck

Yeah, yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

Get that desperate sales person.

Peggy

Now, now that is-

Bill Ellsbeck

No. Give them a 500 off.

Peggy

... kind of, that is something that some people, uh, don't understand is if you buy something at a show, you're not taking it home from that show. They're still taking it back to the dealership, they've gotta do the prep. You know, a thousand people just walked through your new rig, so they need to clean it up, right? And so you're not gonna drive away with that rig from the Hershey show.

Bill Ellsbeck

My factory, my show special was ordered from the factory.

Tony

Huh.

Peggy

Ah, okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

So it was a specific-

Peggy

So you just knew what the floor plan was-

Bill Ellsbeck

I, I-

Peggy

... you didn't walk the floor trails.

Bill Ellsbeck

Yeah, I have the 2109S.

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Bill Ellsbeck

That we love the floor plan.

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Bill Ellsbeck

And there were th- they had a couple, but nothing w- I wanted a white one, I wanted this and that, and so they said, "Ah, we'll just order it."(laughs)

Tony

Huh, interesting. So that got in with the incentive that Rockwood gave to the show people.

Bill Ellsbeck

Yes.

Tony

Interesting.

Bill Ellsbeck

Yes.

Tony

So it's not just what you can touch there, but per- it might be, depending probably on the manufacturer. Although why would you not want a Rockwood? I mean, come on.

Peggy

Right? What other manufacturer is there?(laughs)

Tony

Well, there's a couple.

Bill Ellsbeck

But I see more than you can count on your hands.

Tony

Yeah, right.(laughs)

Peggy

So for y- for the purposes of any of you out there who are ready to shop, this is an opportunity to see all the different things. For those of you who are out there who are looking to create content and do a video review of an RV, only if you want 17 people in each of your(laughs) videos, right?

Tony

Well I've, I've watched videos from a few creators in the past where they're trying to do, you know, focus on specific models, and it's like, you know, there's a ton of people around, so I don't know if that's a good, this is a good place for that. But, you know, you never know.

Peggy

Right.

Tony

I mean-

Peggy

But I think that's also why we, we know that our focus is going to be on the event itself, the pageantry.(laughs)

Tony

The pageantry.

Peggy

The shopping, but not necessarily-

Bill Ellsbeck

The chocolate.

Tony

Oh, yeah.

Peggy

... what the inside...(laughs) Not necessarily what the inside of an R- any specific RV looks like.

Bill Ellsbeck

So, wait, tell me about this chocolate.

Peggy

Yeah, chocolate.

Bill Ellsbeck

You could-

Peggy

Is, it is made-

Bill Ellsbeck

When, when I was young and used to go to Hershey, you literally, the whole town smelled like it when you, as soon as you pulled in.

Tony

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

Because they were making the Kisses. You would, you would take a factory tour where you would actually watch the production line of all these Kisses being made.

Peggy

Oh, nice.

Tony

Oh, man.

Bill Ellsbeck

Uh, it's not quite like that, the...... factory tour is like a Disney ride.

Tony

Oh, okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

You kinda go on a ride and they give you the history of chocolate and they give you some candy when you go out.

Peggy

Like going to Willy Wonka's.

Tony

How much candy?

Bill Ellsbeck

We'll have to find out.(laughs)

Peggy

There's, "Everybody got one, and one is enough for everybody."

Tony

Okay, Willy Wonka.

Peggy

That wasn't even chocolate.

Tony

It's an everlasting gobstopper.

Peggy

Yes.

Tony

So it sounds like a, actually a really good place to buy an RV, and you might run into us-

Tony

... 'cause we're gonna be traipsing-

Peggy

Yeah, yeah.

Tony

... around the show, as well as, I think, 90% of every content creator out there.

Peggy

I think so.

Bill Ellsbeck

I, I ran into content creators I knew last year, just kinda won, "Hey, hi," you know?

Tony

Sounds pretty good.

Peggy

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

It was, it was a, it was, it certainly opened my eyes. I never imagined that many RVs in one place.

Tony

Wow.

Bill Ellsbeck

And-

Tony

Can you imagine, like, the, the cost of just the shipping and transportation? Like, it's-

Tony

... it's just gotta be nuts.

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

Wow.

Peggy

So, what else are we gonna do while we're in the ar... So we're gonna stay at one campsite through the cur- the Hershey show.

Tony

Well, Bill is... We have already learned that Bill is an outstanding tour guide.

Peggy

We have the best tour guide here.

Tony

Yes.

Peggy

And you've already been to a lot of these areas.

Bill Ellsbeck

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Peggy

And so...

Bill Ellsbeck

I grew up not, you know-

Peggy

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

... three, four-hour drive.

Peggy

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

Hershey Park was one of the amusement parks we used to go to.

Tony

Okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

My son's been there many times.

Tony

And, and this is also an area of the country that's just very focused, or has been very influenced by the Civil War and all of the... As the country grew up, as it were. And you're a big fan of-

Peggy

Love that history.

Tony

... history, so-

Bill Ellsbeck

The southern border of Pennsylvania is the Mason-Dixon Line-

Tony

Huh.

Bill Ellsbeck

... that divided North and South.

Peggy

Okay. So we will be here for some, I don't know, I, off the top of my head, amount of time after the show is over. And so, like, next weekend, there's, uh, well, I, I think it goes for a couple of months, but the Renaissance Festival will be here-

Peggy

... for the weekend, where there's a Renaissance Festival and I hate to miss that.

Tony

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

Mm-hmm.

Peggy

And Hershey, of course, and, you know, the, you were saying some Amish country kind of things.

Bill Ellsbeck

Amish country, Lancaster, um, is close by and that's kind of the vacation Amish country area.

Tony

Okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

Um-

Tony

Rumspringa.

Peggy

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Peggy

So we're gonna, we're gonna-

Bill Ellsbeck

It's definitely different, though, than Indiana, up in-

Tony

Uh-

Peggy

Indiana Amish? Okay. So we'll get to get out there and do a little, uh, investigate, a little touring of the state a little bit, uh, before we head back to Indiana. And so we're so excited to do that and have a good tour guide so we know what's, you know-

Peggy

... the highlights of the state and everything.

Tony

Yeah, it's gonna, uh, um, we're really looking forward to this.

Peggy

So, on the way here, you know, we've come all the way from New Mexico, and we, you've kind of followed along. You know where we've been.

Tony

Some of you have, at least, and thank you.

Tony

Thank you, thank you.

Peggy

If you haven't, well, I don't know, go back and watch the last few episodes.

Peggy

Bill, you live in New York, so-

Bill Ellsbeck

Mm-hmm.

Peggy

... how long have you been already on the road?

Bill Ellsbeck

Uh-

Peggy

'Cause it only takes four hours to get here.

Bill Ellsbeck

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

Yeah, um, I started out the, Friday right before Labor Day. Um, I spent four nights at my daughter-in-law's father's place. He owns a, a hunting property Upstate New York in the Catskills, um, beautiful piece of property. It's got a nice kind of little grass area, parked my trailer in, nice off-grid camping. They have two trailers that are there, like permanent, that, like, my son, my daughter-in-law, their godchild, her father-

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Bill Ellsbeck

... and their friend came. So it was a nice community. It's one of those kinda camping that the fire is going the whole time.

Peggy

Somebody-

Bill Ellsbeck

We got there-

Peggy

... puts a fire out every time.

Bill Ellsbeck

It was always going, 'cause they're always clearing wood and-

Tony

Oh, okay.

Bill Ellsbeck

... so this fire would just every-

Bill Ellsbeck

... just like throwing it in, throwing it in and, and but-

Tony

And so you were camping off the grid?

Bill Ellsbeck

I was completely off grid and... How in the world do you pull that-

Peggy

How do you get off grid?

Bill Ellsbeck

... off?

Tony

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

I'm glad you asked.

Bill Ellsbeck

Because of my upfit from ABC. Um, it really helped, worked great. Uh, I have what you had at one point.(laughs)

Tony

Right.

Bill Ellsbeck

One of the trailers that you guys had.

Bill Ellsbeck

Um, but I always had plenty of power. I never, I mean, I was, I used my air fryer for, to cook french fries for the whole group when we were-

Peggy

When you're off grid?

Bill Ellsbeck

Yeah.

Peggy

That's-

Tony

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

And it's just hav- being able to do that is so ni-

Peggy

Yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

We c- cooked sausages in the air fryer. I actually had the air conditioner on for maybe a little while and never had to plug in. I have my generator truck that, uh, as backup, but I never had to use it. I did move from the shady spot into the sunny spot-

Peggy

Mm.

Bill Ellsbeck

... for the last day and then by the time I'm going to leave, I had 100%.

Tony

Oh, geez.

Peggy

Nice.

Tony

Wow.

Bill Ellsbeck

It was great, really.

Tony

And-

Bill Ellsbeck

Just perfect.

Tony

... you just had ABC... So Bill ha- was customer number one-

Peggy

Yeah, he had his first upfit from ABC.

Tony

... at ABC Upfitters. Yeah, and I don't know where we are in the, in the grand scheme of things, but more people keep going to ABC Upfitters for those Mastervolt systems that, you know, it's all one system. I was showing this, we were just teaching a class to a bunch of RVers and I was showing how everything is the same brand of product. There's no finger pointing. It just, it just works. And you had an upgrade to your upfit.

Bill Ellsbeck

Right.

Bill Ellsbeck

I, I originally had...... 600 watts of solar and I'm up to 1200 so I needed-

Bill Ellsbeck

... a new controller. Um, and so I did that last year.

Peggy

Last year, yeah.

Bill Ellsbeck

Right. Oh, that's right. Yeah, yeah.

Peggy

With more solar and a new controller.

Bill Ellsbeck

I got, I got them a new air conditioner that's much more efficient and spent four nights dry camping on the beach at Assateague in brutal heat.

Peggy

Oh.

Bill Ellsbeck

Brutal. I mean it was to the point where I turned off my air conditioner and my dog looked at me and said, "Nope."(laughs)

Peggy

I don't think so, Terrence.

Bill Ellsbeck

I did have to use the truck backup a few times on that trip, um-

Tony

Me too.

Bill Ellsbeck

... because it was just so hot.

Tony

Yeah, it was, it was crazy for a while there and now it's so cool. So we had the same air conditioner put in and then it got cold.(laughs)

Peggy

Yes.

Tony

Like, "Come on."

Peggy

Yeah, we haven't really had a chance to test it.

Bill Ellsbeck

I was blaming you guys for it.

Tony

Well. Yeah. Maybe.

Tony

So but, but anyway if you are looking for a reliable system that can, you know, power your adventures, ABC Outfitters are good people, they stand behind their work, they're, they've been there for years now and, and done a lot of upfits. And you can reach them by dialing 574-333-3225.(laughs)

Peggy

That's 574-333-3225 or use the QR code that's somewhere on the screen or the link that's listed down below and give them a call or check them out online or whatever and-

Bill Ellsbeck

I contacted them online and it was very efficient.

Peggy

Yeah, yeah. It's-

Bill Ellsbeck

They called me back.

Peggy

It's nice because there's like five people who answer the phone and somebody always answers the phone.

Tony

And they can, uh, they can help you through things and answer questions and they speak English. They can go from nerd to normal. It's a, it's a good-

Tony

... organization.

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Tony

Well, we are staying at a place called Rustic Acres and we've been back and forth wanting to stay here for some time and we're-

Tony

... finally here.

Peggy

We're finally here. We've had to put it off a couple different times for different reasons. Uh, you know, the expression we learned from Don and Kathy Huggins, "Our plans are set in jello." And so we were supposed to be here a couple weeks ago and that didn't work out, so we're here and we're gonna, when we're done recording, we're gonna go see one of the local breweries which will be nice. Uh, this park is really a cute park. It's-

Tony

Yeah.

Peggy

... not huge, but it's very, you know, kind of wooded. I mean, I guess that-

Tony

Rustic?

Peggy

Yeah. It's kind of rustic, but-

Peggy

... it kind of goes unsaid, I guess, in more, as far, you know, when we're this far east that there are trees-

Peggy

... you know. This is something we're not used to in New Mexico.

Tony

No, we, well we have trees-

Tony

... in New Mexico. We have seven of them.

Tony

And they're, they're spiny and cactus-y.

Peggy

Yeah. And so we are really enjoying our stay here. Um, they have, you might be able to see this in the corner of the camera, but they have events here at Rustic Acres and then they have an event schedule listed out here that has the things that happen right here at the park and then the things that happen in Clarion County which is a county, obviously, that we're located in.

Tony

Yep.

Peggy

So we, uh, just missed the Labor Day Weekend Music Festival.

Tony

Yeah, they had a whole music... But here's some upcoming stuff. Uh, they have a Wood Carvers Festival. That would be cool. Um, there is a, um, a Horse Thief Daves? Um, they also have Chainsaw Carvers Round-Up. National Peanut Butter Festival.

Peggy

Yeah. We're very sad we're gonna miss that.

Tony

Gosh.

Peggy

That's the same week that we're back already in-

Peggy

... in Indiana so we're gonna miss that. Uh, of course the county has a Autumn Leaf Festival. How could you not have an Autumn Leaf Festival-

Tony

Yeah. We noticed-

Peggy

... in a place like this?

Tony

... the leaves are starting to change a little bit already.

Peggy

We already have seen some changed colors.

Tony

Yeah. Is that pretty typical or-

Peggy

Hm.

Tony

... this time of year?

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

Okay. I don't know. Uh.

Peggy

And this would interest me, the Cook Forest Gingerbread Tour. That would be nice.

Tony

Well, and also the Bigfoot Festival.

Peggy

Big- where's that?

Tony

Right here.

Peggy

Oh.

Tony

It's not. That has come and gone.

Peggy

Well that's, that was in June. Yeah, so-

Tony

Yeah.

Peggy

Yeah, so-

Tony

We missed it.(laughs)

Peggy

So at this, at this park-

Tony

Hey, there he is too. He's running away.

Peggy

... at this campground-

Tony

Oh, wait. He's on your cup.

Peggy

That's right.

Tony

He's the hide and seek champion.

Peggy

He's the hide and seek champion.

Tony

Nice cup.

Peggy

At this park and in this county, there are all sorts of events going on all the time so if you, you know, have a chance to, to visit, we're in ver- pretty north and very west-

Tony

Northwest, yes.

Peggy

... of Pennsylvania right now. By the time you see this, we'll be in the Hershey area.

Tony

Yeah.

Peggy

Uh-

Tony

Oh, and if you're at Hershey s- and you see us, say hi.

Peggy

Yeah, please.

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

Um, but anyway this, the campground has full hookups. The camp hosts were just so helpful.

Peggy

They were nice, yeah.

Tony

There's a playground. They have a vintage Avion trailer you can stay in or those glamping tents.

Peggy

Mm-hmm.

Tony

There's also camp, tent camping sites, uh, full hookup RV sites which is where we are right now.

Peggy

Uh, we're not right this minute now-

Tony

Well, right.

Peggy

... but where we're camped right now.(laughs)

Tony

But also, we're recording this in their hub and it's a really nice-

Peggy

It's a very nice gathering space.

Tony

... like a hanging out spot-

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

... with comfy chairs and a fireplace and coffee maker and all, all that, uh-

Peggy

This cup that I'm, now I'm trying to hide. But, um, I forgot to bring my water from the trailer and so-

Tony

Oh, fa-shame.

Peggy

... I made a cup of hot cider so I've been sipping on hot cider while you were talking.(laughs)

Tony

Yeah. So now, what she's drinking is insider.(drum roll)

Peggy

Oh my goodness.

Tony

So anyway, it's a, it's a great... If you're in this area, I can't say enough. They're super people. It's very clean. Uh, did I mention the playground? There's a whole playground. We did our laundry.

Peggy

There's some horseshoes.

Tony

Horseshoes.

Peggy

Pits. There's a couple different, uh, locations where there are restrooms and showers.

Tony

Oh, trails.

Peggy

There are lots of trails i- kind of surrounding and throughout this campground. Um, we probably won't go on the trail 'cause we're just not trail people, but maybe, who knows? You know.

Tony

Maybe. You never know.

Peggy

Some of them are pretty short, like it just kinda goes around the back of our campsite area, so-

Tony

Hmm.

Peggy

... we might do that.

Tony

Yeah, so-

Peggy

Um, oh, and the one, at least one, maybe all, depends on how fit you are, or how-

Tony

Or how fat you are.

Peggy

Or how un-lazy you are. Uh, one of the breweries is like a mile on the trail.

Tony

Yeah.

Peggy

So you can ride your bike or even walk to a brewery, not have to worry about gettin' back out on the road and everything. Um, again, not gonna do that.(laughs) But-

Tony

Well, because Peggy's always our designated driver.

Peggy

Right.

Tony

And I'm always the designated drinker.

Peggy

If we had, uh, if we had done what we originally planned and had four nights here in a row, we probably would've taken out the bikes and taken that bike over.

Tony

Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah.

Peggy

But since we're... Unfortunately, we're here one night and then next couple weeks we're gonna be here for one night, we probably won't get to take full advantage, but we are gonna do our best.

Tony

Yeah. So anyway, there will be a full article with more pictures at our home on the web at stresslesscamping.com. And, uh, good people, so, uh, we love supporting a locally owned, family-owned campground that has... that's nicely kept and has nice people. Well, that's all we have for you this week. It's a shorty, but, uh, hopefully, you'll make the trip and maybe see us at the great...

Tony

uh, America's largest RV show. That's what they officially call it, the Hershey RV Show. Whatever you call it, we'll be there.

Peggy

Or the Renaissance Fair.

Tony

Or the Renaissance Fair, or maybe on our way back here at Rustic Acres. Who knows?

Peggy

Who knows?

Tony

But hopefully you're out there enjoying yourself. Um, you can find the story about Rustic Acres and a whole lotta other resources here at our home on the web at Stress Less Camping, which is also where you'll find all kinds of discounts, deals, and our favorite RV products. Um, we also are in all the social places where you enjoy wasting time, so you can go from our website and, and link out and go waste time just like what we're doin'.

Tony

And lastly, uh, we do have a weekly newsletter. It has no spam unless we write about the Spam Museum.

Tony

So, uh, you can sign up and know that we protect your email address and never share it. We just send you our weekly updates. So with that, that-

Peggy

Can you tell that we did all that without a script?

Tony

Yeah, I know.

Tony

Usually we have it written. It's shorter. It's probably better. People are like, "Oh, thank God."

Peggy

People are, yeah, "Thank goodness they're not saying all those words this week."

Tony

"Yeah, thank God you're here. Ugh." So anyway, that's what we have for you this week. We really appreciate your being here once again. We will see you in Hershey, and most of all, stress less camping.

Peggy

Stress less camping.
