Tony

Is your RV a dirty bird?

Peggy

Does it look dull and have those famous black streaks from spending winter in storage?

Tony

What do you do to take care of the roof and keep it clean and protected? This

Peggy

Week, we welcome back entrepreneur Matt Foxcroft, who shares his new LiquiShine RV cleaning products designed for RVers

Tony

By RVers. We also saw an RV that made me swoon

Peggy

And we're planning to try something that we, well, something we've kind of never done before.

Tony

Sort of. Yeah, sort of, kind of. Anyway, we have this week's podcast along with the notes and the stories that go with this episode plus discounts, deals, helpful tips, and more at our home on the web at StresslessCamping.com.

Peggy

We truly appreciate your likes and your shares and we really, really, really appreciate that you are joining us for episode 3 57, Stressless Camping.

Tony

I'm Tony.

Peggy

I'm Peggy.

Tony

And we're two RV industry veterans who travel part-time

Peggy

In a Rockwood mini light,

Tony

Looking to share big adventures and help you with great tips,

Peggy

Tricks, and

Tony

Discounts.

Peggy

So we're going on sort of a camping trip,

Tony

Sort of, kind of,

Peggy

Sort of a glamping trip maybe.

Tony

Well, part of the story is we wanted to go somewhere and everything was full.

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

That we wanted to take advantage of. Basically, while you are listening or watching this podcast, we're gonna be in Seligman or Seligman, Arizona as the kickoff, officially the hundredth anniversary of Route 66.

Peggy

Right. So we thought, oh, since we're doing a Route 66 thing and we only can stay gone for a short time, instead of taking our travel trailer, let's stay in a hotel for once. 'cause they have a lot of really, you know, iconic old Route 66 motels along the route. They are full. Yeah.

Tony

But

Peggy

What I was able to find was a cabin at the local KOA.

Tony

Yeah. So, you know, we always see those cabins and KOA has been saying, oh, we're putting more and more of these cabins in and they really, campgrounds are really installing a lot of these <affirmative> little cabins. So we figure what the French toast, we're gonna go ahead and give it a shot, see what we think. And of course we'll report back to you.

Peggy

It's not gonna be that different, I think from our tent camping experience, except that we don't have to take the tent or the bed frame.

Tony

Yeah. And I think it might be warmer.

Peggy

Well, depends on, yeah, I guess so anyway. Yeah, we will report back after, you know, whenever, when we finally get around to it,

Tony

Whenever

Peggy

<laugh>. Oh, I know that in the next week or two. We have some odd topics already figured out. So,

Tony

Yeah, that's true. Well we have been working with our friends at ABC Upfitters on some additional features for the power package. And something that I really like about the master vault system is, we've said it before, it's all an integrated system. So one company makes the battery, the charge controller, the DC to DC charger.

Peggy

The

Tony

Connectors, the connectors, the

Peggy

Wires.

Tony

Yeah. I mean it's, it's no finger pointing. But another thing that has been a hallmark of the system is that it is upgradable. So we know people who bought a smaller system and upgraded it because they're like, this is better than I thought

Peggy

And now I want more.

Tony

Now I want more.

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

It's, it's truly addicting. I mean last week we were camping for three days with some friends in a junkyard, believe it or not, completely off the grid. And it, we didn't have any worries about power. Right. It's nice that if something new comes along or you decide, no, I want more power, this is addicting or whatever it is, these systems are flexible. And the nice thing is, ABC Upfitters will work with you to design a system that works for you now and maybe works for you better in the future.

Tony

Right. So it's not just you're stuck with this and, and have a nice day.

Peggy

Does that interest you? If it does, why don't you give them a call at (574) 333-3225,

Tony

That's 5 7 4 3 3 3 3 2, 2 5

Peggy

Or check out more information on our website.

Tony

Yeah, absolutely.

Peggy

If you have just uncovered your RV from its winter nap,

Tony

Hold it outta storage or whatever, pull it outta storage

Peggy

And

Tony

You're like, Ew.

Peggy

And it has dirt and grime and black streaks. Or if you ha if you didn't have it covered or in a covered spot and it has bird things that birds do to,

Tony

Or if you've been towing it through love bug areas.

Peggy

Oh, that we have Mac Foxcroft this week and he is telling us about his new Liquid Shine RV cleaning products, which are fantastic.

Tony

Yeah. They, I'm amazed at how well they work and how easy they are. And you all know I'm pretty darn lazy, so for me to be enthusiastic about a cleaning product says a lot. Yeah. Anyway, without any further ado. And we also have some sneak information from Matt.

Peggy

That's right.

Tony

We are very privileged and I don't know where Peggy is, but we are very privileged to have our friend Matt back, who you already know him from Liquefied, but he has a newer product, liquid Shine. Welcome Matt.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Thank you. Thank you so much for having me. Here it is. Liquid Shine. Sorry I'm late. I was watching the camper.

Tony

Oh, oh there. Oh

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

My God. Nice.

Tony

Peggy has all of the products. Okay, so Liquid Shine is Yes. A waterless wash and wax for your rv. And I have to be honest, the first time I tried it, it was so freaking easy to use. I mean it was just like we, we were camping with some friends and I tried it and my friend was like, that's really cool. And we tried it on several campers and it's just, it's really remarkable what a good product that is.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

It really is a good product. Thank you. And here's what I like to tell everybody. So Liquid Shine, this is gonna be our main product Wash and wax. We also do have specialty products, A bug and tar remover, a black streak remover and a roof cleaner. This is definitely gonna be, this is gonna be our orange 32 ounce. You know what I'm saying? This is gonna be our, our best seller. What makes it so amazing is that here's the deal, the best way to wash your RVs with a bucket and a brush and a power washer and to take it and to scrub it and to spray it.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

But there is so many campgrounds now that forbid that which is just, it uses a ton of water. Yeah. And then on top of that, even if you're somebody like me, I'm like, man, I'll just pay somebody. I mean, we're talking hundreds of dollars and even if you could pay them, they again, they can't do it at your campsite. You gotta bring it somewhere else. You know, it's, it's absolutely crazy. What's so nice about this is it's waterless. You spray it and then you wipe it. It is absolutely fantastic.

Tony

And it's remarkable how well it works.

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

The results are, are really impressive.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yeah. So we have a really interesting business model that I don't think a lot of people understand. When we started liquified, we Googled one thing. It wasn't about how to make more money. It wasn't about how to make the product cheaper or to smell better. It's how does RV holding tank treatment work the best period, end of story. Me and Will, our faces are on the bottle. You know, this is our product, this is our face, our reputation.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

We are only going to do the best stuff possible. And we did that same thing and that's how we developed this formula for Liquid Shine.

Tony

How long did it take in testing different products and, and formulas and all of that to come up with Liquid Shine?

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Honestly, too long. You are the first person to ask that.

Tony

It

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Was about a year and a half, which actually like really ticked me off.

Tony

Well, but I mean it, the result works. So yeah. 'cause I've tried other stuff and

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

We're very, very happy with the outcome, but we, we've just gone through so many hoops and hurdles and you know, launching new products is definitely tough, but the juice is definitely worth the squeeze. We're, we're very happy with what we've come up with.

Tony

So the last time you saw me, we were both at, in Birmingham, Alabama. I drove there because I'm, yeah, I'm nuts and I killed so many bugs with my car. I think the country's gonna have a shortage. And I tried your bug and tar remover.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yeah.

Tony

And really worked well. That poor car. Yeah. So you also have a bug and tar remover.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yep. Yep. Especially right now during love bug seasons, you know, get yourself a bottle and it will just melt those bugs off.

Peggy

So I was actually gonna ask that. I'm always a little nervous about using an, you know, RV surfaces are much different from car truck surfaces. So I was like, oh, are you sure it's safe to use this on the car's paint job?

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. No, it totally is the one thing with any of that stuff, you just don't wanna let it sit for long. You know, you, you really wanna wet it down, spray it on, let it sit for a few seconds and then wipe it off. Yeah. And that, and that's with anything that you put on a vehicle. Something

Tony

I'm seeing a lot as people are coming out of Winterizing, their campers are a lot of black streaks, <affirmative>. So you also have a black streak remover.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yeah. That helps with the oxidation. It works real well.

Peggy

Okay.

Tony

And lastly, a roof cleaner. I've been talking with Chris, who's a part of the liquified team about the roof cleaner and we saw your video of using it and it works very, very well. Just don't put it on your solar panels 'cause there's also UV protected

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Noted, Duly noted. Yeah. And what's so nice about our roof protector is we, or not roof protector, but our roof cleaner. We wanted to make sure that we were doing it for all the popular roofs. TPO, PVC. Fiberglass, sorry, Airstream owners. You can't use our roof cleaner. But everything else you're good.

Tony

So how did you decide from the, I know how the Black Tank

Peggy

Products

Tony

Came about because you were famous for the prime poop in position. Yeah. Yes. How did Liquid Shine come about?

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Well, we, we, we have a path forward and you, you want me to give you a hot take?

Peggy

Sure. This is the one you weren't gonna tell us.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Oh yeah. You want me to give you a Stressless camping exclusive?

Tony

Sure,

Peggy

We sure would.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Okay. So we will be, we will be on an interview in five years from now and we will be the next camco, we will be the next Valterra, we will be the next thatford, we will be the next Dometic. You know what I'm saying? And I say that with so much. I don't trash any of those brands. They're all fantastic. We are striving to be them and we will be striving to beat them all in their own game. With that said, what all of those people have done to build the business the way that they have is super impressive.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Forest River didn't become Forest River in one day. You know what I'm saying? Like sure. It takes, it takes a long time. So the realist in me says, okay, if product number two doesn't work, are we good just being product number one, i.e liquified? And the answer is yes. I mean, there's unique, all they sell is RV toilet treatment. You know what I'm saying? So like, so like we're not profitable 'cause we're in growth mode, but if we turned off growth mode, we would be profitable.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Does that make sense?

Tony

Yes, absolutely.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

So then it's like, hey, what is the next step to where if this step works, then we could be a two product brand, even if step three doesn't work. Okay. So let me give you a perfect example. Example. If we did power cords, which which we will do one day. Okay. Far out power cords in this don't complement each other. You know what I'm saying? Sure.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Whereas if this works, it's liquid in a bottle. You know what I'm saying?

Tony

Correct. Right.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

We have proven success with liquid in a bottle. So step one's liquefied, step two's, liquid shine, step three is something else.

Tony

Something else.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yeah. I can't give you that one.

Tony

I understand.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

But if step three works, we're gonna be doing steps three through eight and coming after everybody in the, the

Peggy

Best way. Fantastic.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

And I, I wanna let everybody know what our competitive advantage is gonna be. Because moving forward when it comes to like the next brand, it's very hard to say one brand's better than another brand. Right. It's very hard once you enter that world. Here's what I will tell you. We have the best customer service period in the industry. Everybody's on the AI train and we will be using AI in our business.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

We'll be using it on our website, we'll be using it on our inventory and logistics. We will never use it for customer service when it comes to liquefied Liquid Shine and every other brand that we ever have. When you have an issue, you'll be getting a call from Kim and maybe even bigger that we go, maybe somebody from Kim's team. And that's our guarantee to you guys. You'll always, my cell phone number's (813) 245-4531.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

You'll always have somebody here in our company that you can get a hold of in case something goes wrong. And that's what what's gonna give us our advantage over everybody else.

Tony

And we've known Kim for years now. Yeah. Many years. And she's, you have a good team of people there. Such a good team. Yeah. But there's a lot of people who might say what you're saying now, and I would be like, eh, I'm not so sure I have zero doubts having watched you with liquefied, how you treat people, just having a conversation with you. If there's a hundred people, everybody has felt like you only talk to them and make them feel special.

Tony

You have a real determined personality, but a great way of working with people and making them feel special.

Peggy

Yes.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Thank you for that. And, and a lot of that's at RV shows, right? So RV shows are extremely difficult. They're tough and they're tiring. Okay. And the one thing I I want to comment on with the RV show industry is they always let their vendors break down close and leave early. I come from a mindset where I think that is extremely unfair to the consumer. It's extremely unfair to the RVR people, especially the shows where people pay money to come in.

Speaker 3

Yeah. And

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

So at around four or five or six o'clock, when there's an hour or two or even three hours left, I will pull my team aside and I will remind them that guys, listen, I know we're hot, I know we're tired. I know we're exhausted by saying the same thing time and time again. But at 4 54 it is that customer's first time walking by seeing the company liquefied give them Yeah. Give them our absolute best.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yeah. And I will say we have the most amazing team who does an amazing job with that

Peggy

For sure.

Tony

Absolutely. I I I knowing them, I couldn't agree more.

Peggy

I remember, I think it was in Pennsylvania, right? We came to dinner that you hosted and for a liquified, and you made the announcement that there was gonna be a new product and can anybody guess what it might be called? And I hollered out Liquid Shine and Will took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to me. Which by the way, remember that used, which I used to tip the bartender.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yes. Yes. I love that. That was so awesome.

Tony

Yeah, that was, that was great.

Peggy

Yeah. And I know you already had a name, but I, I feel like I was part of naming the product.

Tony

Yeah, he already figured.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Hang on, we're gonna, we're gonna talk to Ms. customer service and have her have her on the podcast.

Tony

Oh, I just saw Will Hello. Hi Kim. Hello. If we were just bragging on you, Kim.

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Well thanks, appreciate that.

Tony

Yeah. If you have a customer service question, Kim is the person you're likely going to talk to.

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

It is me.

Tony

We've known you for years and I couldn't imagine a better person for that job. We were so happy when you were there. We're like Kim,

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

I know I keep I keep pinching myself. This is real. I really work for this guy and

Peggy

Will. Yep.

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Dan

Peggy

Will the whole team.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

So cool. So sorry about that. What other questions do you have?

Tony

But think that's the end of our questions. I think that's it. Yeah.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Well, well I have a question, Kim. Tell everybody what, why did you jump ship from a very awesome company and then come, come to the land of rejects with us, American Island

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Of

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Misfits. The island of Misfits.

Tony

You know, the funny thing is we fit right in.

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

I, I fit right in with the Island of Misfits. My husband and I went to dinner with Matt and Will and Jen when they offered me the job. And I said I wanted to think about it. And I got in the car and my husband looked at me, he goes, you are dumb if you don't jump right now. So I jumped and it was the people, I didn't know anything about RV black tank treatments or anything, but it was really, I jumped because of the people and I've never looked back. It's been the best journey.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Kim is employee number one. Obviously the scale of operations, there's a lot of important people, but to me again, customer service is number one to, to, you know, to me not saying, not saying accounting, like everybody, everybody's important.

Peggy

Yeah, yeah.

Tony

Right. But it's a customer facing

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yeah. We don't have a warehouse if we don't have a good customer service team, vice

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Versa. We don't. Yeah. We don't have a business if we don't have customers. So. Yeah. You

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Know, the the one thing I love to tell our team, because we've now grown to like 12 people. Wow. It's Kim's job. Kim's job and everybody's job. They work for the customers, me and Will. We work for our team and it's our job to make them extremely happy and proud to work here. And then they take care of everything else for us. And they do an amazing job. I love,

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

I love that. We're lucky, man. We're lucky.

Tony

The products are just good. So thank you. Our hats off to you. And are there money back guarantees on the products?

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Oh yes.

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Oh yeah, for sure.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

We have the best satisfaction guarantee. I can't tell you how often I'm on Facebook and one, I, I can't tell you how much I love our customers. When I'm in a Facebook forum and when people are asking people about RV holding tank treatments, the amount of people that say liquefied, it means the world to us. Yeah.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

But you'll see this when people say, I have tried liquefied and it did not work for me. I send them a message, bro, one, maybe you got a bad batch, it ha it's enzymes and bacteria. Sure. Let me send you another bottle and if that bottle doesn't work, I'll give you a hundred percent refund. No questions. A hundred percent. If anybody's watching this, 8, 1, 3, 2, 4, 5, 4, 5, 3, 1. If you've tried our product and it did not work for you, we'll give you a refund.

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

A hundred percent. It, it's, it's, you're dealing with enzymes and bacteria. It doesn't work for everybody. It does not. Yeah. 90, 95% of people it works for, but 5% we sell a lot of bottles. You know, that's a lot of people.

Tony

Well, and and my point with that is try the Liquid Shine product because I was really impressed with how easy it was and how well it worked.

Peggy

And there's no risk.

Tony

You have no risk. Yeah. You know, so if you have black streaks or you have need to, we all need to be up on a roof looking at it, clean the roof, get your RV looking all spiffy, you have no risk in trying the Liquid Shine product and so do so.

Peggy

Yeah.

Tony

Well guys, yeah.

Peggy

And Kim, thank you so, so much for spending some time with us today and Will, it's always a lot of fun and, and will back there. It's always so much fun to talk to you and it's almost so great when we actually get to see you in person and I hope that that will happen very, very soon.

Tony

Awesome.

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Thank you guys. We wait, will we see you guys this summer?

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Yeah. Will you be in our car?

Tony

Probably. Probably.

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Okay. Alright. Keep us posted.

Peggy

Let

Matt Foxcroft - Liquishine

Us

Kim Parmater - Liquishine

Go. Yeah, we will.

Tony

April's a great time to get deals from the air gear store because we've worked with 'em to get you discounts. That's

Peggy

Right. RV season is starting and you might need a new water hose.

Tony

They're here. Water hose that we've had, we've had through three RVs.

Peggy

Yeah. So we don't have to buy a new one every year.

Tony

And don't forget we have a discount ho in the show notes through the end of April.

Peggy

And also, you know, starting with camping season, you're gonna wanna maybe change but certainly check the torque on all your tires before you get on the road.

Tony

Yep. The correct torque you wanna have all the things you need just in case you need to change a tire on the side of the road. And the air gear store has what we think is the best tire changing kit on the market.

Peggy

And once again, there's a discount code on our website,

Tony

Check it out at Stresslesscamping.com, you can see our full review, our honest reviews of these products and get discounts on your next air gear store purchase just in time for camping season to start.

Peggy

Well you can keep your RV clean and you could keep the swoon worthy RV that you loved so much this week. Clean. Tell us about that.

Tony

Well, what happened is I was looking at in tech, which is a company that I've really come to admire, they build RVs, they even build their own frames. These welded aluminum cage structures that they build. They tend to make a really good product. And they introduced a new black wing rv, which is true, it's a toy hauler, but it's got like a, a pointed nose that kind of helps with aerodynamics.

Tony

It's an all aluminum structure with an aluminum skin and just really well made and it has no slide and you know Yeah. Tell me, yeah, me and no slides.

Peggy

I think there's a lot to be said for toy haulers because if you don't haul a toy, it's a, it's an open space. A big floor space where work, you know, workspace, I know people who sew and quilt and

Tony

Or you bring your e-bikes. I've seen so many people who are like, I don't know where to store my e-bikes on the road. Right. Well a toy hauler is a perfect place. I mean you can of course also store like, you know, motorcycles inside and this thing will swallow a side by side. It also has a 40 gallon fuel tank on board. So if you do bring gas fired stuff, you can fuel it. But it's also got an onboard generator and you can do solar and lithium. So you're kind of covered no matter what.

Tony

Yeah. These things are just built like tanks. Now of course the downside of a toy hauler is the seating is two benches that face one another and then there's a bed on a lift mechanism. So not as convenient as maybe a regular a bed that's always in the same place. Naturally they do. I do like that there is the ramp that goes down and the the patio deck that it can become.

Peggy

I love that about toy haulers because that really expands your floor space. Oh yeah. Gives you some outdoor space without having to feel like you're actually going outdoors. You just step over the threshold.

Tony

Well and if you've got little kids or if you've got pets, you can have this ramp door down and there's the fence around it, which is an option by the way. And in tech does make their own fences, which is unusual. Ah. But anyways, so the ramp door's down and the pets or kids can go in and out, but they're still contained in a campground or in your camp spot there. So there's a lot to like, I like the build quality in tech does their bathrooms differently and it's not the biggest bathroom and it is a wet bath, which of course a lot of people do not like, but the way they do it is they put a gasketed exterior door in the bathroom.

Tony

So those fajita Friday fumes Oh gee. Don't get into the rest of the camper. So it's kind of cool. So

Peggy

It seals whether you're showering or just

Tony

Yeah. Or whatever else about a couple weeks

Peggy

Ago.

Tony

Yeah. All of that stuff, it's sealed off and you don't have to put up a goofy curtain inside. The whole bathroom is basically waterproof. There's even a cover for the, for the roll.

Peggy

Sure. Yeah.

Tony

I, I liked it. I'll put a link to the review. I wrote of it in our show notes and that's sort of my RV of the week. I, I really like the nose of this thing. That's kinda what that and the build quality is really what made me,

Peggy

So

Tony

What's in

Peggy

The nose? Is it the,

Tony

It's a V kitchen and the, the generator is on one side and the propane is on the other. And then there's a big pass-through store, so it kind of, you have to see it Okay. To, to kind of see it, but it, it comes down and then it forms a V and it really, that really would help with towing a bit. And but it doesn't

Peggy

Make you have a V-shaped kitchen or a V-shaped

Tony

No

Peggy

Headboard or a V-shaped, anything like that?

Tony

No, no, not at all. Okay. I see. Great. No, it's, they use it for story. It's well thought through. Nice actually.

Peggy

Nice. Okay.

Tony

Yeah. Kind of cool.

Peggy

Last week as we expected was kind of a polarizing question of the week because I wanted to know, do you drink water from your fresh tank?

Tony

Yeah. But does your chewing gum loses flavor on the bedpost overnight?

Peggy

That is not the question of the

Tony

Week. Oh no it's not.

Peggy

People were adamantly like, yes and adamantly no. And Patrick actually brought up a really good point. He wondered if a lot of the people that said yes they do drink out of their tank are full timers because maybe buying a gallon of drinking water for a weekend camping trip is a convenience. So you don't have to worry about the tank. But if you're full-time and that's your home, you tend to use it more. More. And I, yeah, I think that's a good point that he made.

Peggy

And if I ever have the time, I'd like to kinda sit and look at people's answers and determine whether they're full timers or not.

Tony

Yeah, that would be a good like part two. Yeah.

Peggy

Yeah. So

Tony
